Kadima which translates to forward, is the middle school youth group here at Adath Israel. This is a group that strengthens Jewish connection , friendship, and identity. It is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. 7th and 8th graders that want to take on a leadership role can join our Kadima board of students that helps plan their local events. There is one regional convention for Kadima and two additional regional conventions in which 8th graders are invited.
Kadima programs are held twice a month and meet both in and out of Adath Israel. Once a month on a Monday night there are Kadima lounge nights from 6-7pm. Once a year, Kadima participates in Kadima Kinnus, a weekend long convention through CRUSY (the Central Region of United Synagogue Youth). Participation in Kadima allows students to continue strengthening their ties with each other, make new Jewish friends, and experience Judaism in a “hands on”, fun and exciting way.
